Welcome to the Senior Project for Group 10. The group is comprised of Patrick O'Connor, Heather Paris, Christen Glarborg and Alana Warner-Tuhy. Browse around and learn about the process we are using to make some new condensation polymers

Mission: Creation of Condensation Polymer from Glycerin and Tartaric Acid
This project develops and demonstrates the application for a biodegradable polymer.  The polymer is to be made from the waste glycerin of the biodiesel manufacturing process combined with a waste organic acid from the wine industry.

 

Usual Location: Gleeson 310 MW 11-2, sometimes Friday

Current Location:Each member will be located in different rooms based on what testing they are doing next week.

Current Status: DSC, TGA, rheology and liquid chromotography testing.
