Project Objective Statement (POS):

We are investigating the physical properties of mint oil, designing and testing a microwave powered mint still, and determining if it is efficient enough to replace steam distillation. We have till May 11 to complete a testing plan, develop a prototype(s), execute testing, and analyze the results.

Project Progress So Far (PPSF):

We already have a couple microwaves, some glassware, mint leaves, oil, infrared thermometer, and a microcontroller. We've performed some thermal analysis to get physical property data and experiments to get yield and quality data. Also, we obviously have a decently functional webpage to go along with it and are beginning to help beyond the initial scope with a mint truck heat loss calculator and hopefully beyond.
