Class Policies

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course. However students should know the following:

No programming is required for this course but students will be using a software package called Genie for some of their assignments.

Accommodations

Students with documented disabilities who may need accommodations, who have any emergency medical information the instructor should be aware of, or who need special arrangements in the event of evacuation, should make an appointment with the instructor as early as possible, and no later than the first week of the term. Class materials will be made available in accessible format upon request.


Grading

An approximate weighting of the marks in the course is listed below. This may change slightly depending on the number and size of the assignments. The final exam for this course will be a 1 hour midterm on the day of the scheduled exam.



Policy on collaboration

You are permitted to discuss homework questions in general terms with your classmates. Do not just give each other the answers. In addition, students are expected to write up the assignments by themselves. You are not permitted to use documentation from off the internet unless you are explicitly told to do so in the assignment.

I will use Blackboard for storing and distributing your grades. Let me know if there are any mistakes in your grades. Please check them after each assignment and exam.
